So you've finally decided to mount your flat screen TV, now what?  Here I am going to list several things to consider, and options to choose from before calling a TV mounting service or mounting it yourself.

1.   Should you hire a professional to install your TV mount?

The simple answer is YES!  Unless you have experience mounting TVs, don't use your home as testing grounds.  Also don't trust a friend of a friend to do this important task for you.  Unless you have seen their work, and can verify they know how to properly mount a tv, do not allow. A professionally mounted TV with no wires showing can be a room center piece.  But if your TV is mounted too low, too high, or out of level, it can have the opposite effect. 

2.  Choosing what type of mount to use.

After deciding where to mount your tv, next decide what type of mount to use.  Take into consideration where you would be watching your TV from and decide if an articulating mount is even necessary.. If there is no practical need to turn your tv to the left or right it will save you money and time to use a flat or tilting mount.  

3.  Deciding who to hire to mount your flat screen TV.
